General Conditions of Sale

Rates

All rates are in Euros (EUR) and exempt from VAT (local tax on goods and services), in accordance with article 293B of the CGI (National Tax Code) and refer only to guided tours and/or travel-related escort services and does not include possible meals for the guide nor eventual entrances to the places visited, accommodation nor transport services.

Extra costs

If the tour starts/ends outside of Strasbourg, there might be an extra charge to cover the guide transportation costs (price per journey) : up to 10 km, free of charge; from 11 km to 30 km, €10; from 31 km to 50 km, €15; from 51 km to 75 km, €20; from 76 km to 100 km = €25).

Payment methods

Travel Agencies/Operators: by invoice (up to 30 days for payment) or in cash/card on the day of the service.

Individuals: to secure the booking, the client is required to pay a deposit upfront: 30% of the total cost of the services agreed. This deposit (non-refundable) can be made by payment link or by bank transfer. The remaining balance should be paid in full on the day of the tour in cash (EUROS) or by card.

Delays, no-shows

By the customer: the guide will wait for the customer for a maximum of 30 minutes. The visit can be shortened by the delay or extended to compensate for the delay (if the guide agrees). After 30 minutes of delay, and without any information from the client, the visit will be canceled and considered a no-show. Tour Companies will be invoiced the full amount of services contracted.

By the guide : If the guide presents itself with a delay of up to 30 minutes, the client will have the option of extending the visit to compensate for the delay (according to the guide’s availability and agreement between both parties); if the client does not agree, the duration of the visit may be reduced, and the amount readjusted (compensation equivalent to the duration of the delay may be demanded by the client). In the unlikely event that the guide does not appear, the client will receive the full amount already paid, and may demand compensation in the amount of 30% of the contracted services that were not performed.

Changes

By the guide: the guide reserves the right to cancel or modify certain tours without prior notice if the comfort or safety of customers requires so, or in case of force majeure, such as strikes, demonstrations, exceptional closures, storms. If it is not possible to perform the service in part or in full, the customer will have the option of choosing another date for the running of the services, or will receive a voucher with the amount of the deposit made. The voucher will have the client’s name (non-transferable) and it will be valid for one year.

By the client: any request to change a tour already contracted must be informed to the guide, preferably 48 hours in advance. The guide reserves the right to accept or not the changes, according to their availability. If not agreement is reached, the deposit of 30% paid by the client at the time of securing the booking, serves not to penalise financially the guide for blocking the schedule in advance.

Reduction in the duration of the service by the customer on the day of the service: the total amount of the contracted service must be paid.

Cancellation

Cancellation by private clients

Up to 15 days before the services are scheduled to take place : a voucher with the amount of the deposit already made (30% of the services) will be issued with the client’s name (non-transferable) and it will be valid for one year.

Less than 15 days before the start of the services : the deposit will be kept in full as not to penalize financially the guide for blocking and not using the slot(s).

Dispute

Any dispute relating to the interpretation and execution of the general conditions of sale will be subject to French law. If there is no amicable settlement between the two parties, the dispute will be brought before the Commercial Court in Strasbourg.
