The Wine road Alsace

Panoramic routes, breakating views, magnificient archtiecture and delicious wine.

Alsace is a wine-growing region…a tradition that dates back to the Roman times.

But what most people don’t know is that “la Route des Vins d’Alsace” (the Wine Road in Alsace), was the first wine road to be created in France!

After the Second World War the winegrowers in Alsace got together to create something to boost the local economy.

Nowadays the road cuts Alsace from North to South and more than 60 villages and towns are part of this panoramic road.

Some of these medieval villages have received the tittle “le plus beau village en France” (the most breautiful village en France), “le village préfére des Français” (the favorite village of the French people).

Different options for you to pick and mix

Departing from Strasbourg or Colmar

Guided walking tour of Colmar, the Wine Capital of Alsace. Gothic churches, renaissance and half-timbered buildings, and the river Lauch framing this enchanting ambience.

You can also choose to cover more of the Wine Road by doing a panoramic drive, which will include photo stops and time to soak up the breathtaking views.

A guided tour in a medieval castle…one of the most impressive structures you will see during your stay ion Alsace! Get ready to travel back in time and understand the troubled history of the region.

This baroque church is a must during your stay in the region. Considered to be one of the most beautiful churches in the east of France, you will be astonished by the detailed frescos covering its ceiling and walls and its magnificent organ.

Eguisheim, Turckheim, Riquewhir, Hunawhir, Kientzhiem, Obernai, Barr, etc, etc, etc…So many beautiful places to visit, so little time? Don’t worry…no matter your choice of itinerary, you can be assured your experience in Alsace will be memorable

Visiting a cave and doing a wine tasting will be the best way for you to understand our unique history and see up close the pride and passion the winegrowers show for their land. You can choose to visit a particular cave or have one recommended based on your circuit. **Some caves charge a fee for the tasting**

To make your experience more enjoyable and memorable, all the programs along the Wine Road of Alsace have a duration of 8 hours.

Types of transport

– I can drive a rented car (if my name is added as a second driver)

– Clients can rent and drive their own rented car;

– I can drive up to 4 clients with me in my car

– Clients can request a VTC service (vehicle with a driver) from one of my partner companies.

Wine Tasting

If you have a cellar in particular that you want to visit – and we manage to get a slot – we can create the programme around that cellar. Otherwise, I work with different wineries. The choice will be based on their availability.
